*God has worked with me a lot through this ministry. Relationships have been built and old ones have been made stronger. I have connected with people I didn't know I could actually connect with. I've met new people and enjoyed the experience of getting to know them. I get so excited everytime I see a 20...Something coming up because the studies are intense and very heart changing. I have learned so much and have grown more in Christ. A couple of things I've remember is, not only that Matt and James are able to make pigs out of chicken, but "you have not cause you ask not." God has so many blessings he wants to give us, and if we just simply ask Him, in his timing, we will receive them. There are also daily blessings that God will give us. Just think of the air you breathe, the food you eat, the feet and the hands you have to use, etc. Simple little things.
Always pray that God will bless you.
And another thing is, if you leave a service, and something in your heart hasn't changed, what good was it to actually go? Always have an open mind and heart when going to a service, and make sure you listen. Take something home with you and apply it. Even if it is something you have already worked on.~Harley~
*I am 22 years old and I have been going to COTR for almost 2 years.Being a young adult it was difficult to decide to join a ministry, afraid of where I would fit in. Then just a couple of weeks after I decided I definitely wanted to join a ministry 20...Something started. I immediately felt that this was a ministry I would benefit from ( plus Tracie works with me and she also informed me this would be great for me. HAHAHAHA just kidding) 20...Something is so important for young adults because it goes into a lot of grey areas that are a lot of times uncomfortable to talk about and you have to really look inside yourself to find the answer. But very important for growth. We recently started reading every women's/mans battle and it deals with sexual integrity. This subject is particularly important to me because I have always searched for love in the wrong places, and I didn't understand why I made the decisions I made. This study guide has answered a lot of my questions and has shown me I'm not the only one who struggles in this area. Now this subject would be especially hard to talk about with strangers, but the group of people who go to 20...Something don't judge. The group of people are extremely funny, caring and trustworthy.I know this is suppose to be a short testimony so I wont say any more but..... If you are a young adult and want to join a ministry where you can fellowship, laugh, and grow in God 20...Something is the place you should be. ~Sarah~
